The album is shaped by a strong sense of community — but it’s about more than that. It also explores how our modern lives constantly seem to oscillate between the online and offline worlds; from the universe inside our smartphones to the one we experience every day through our physical senses.
What separates our emotional experiences — friendship, love, and togetherness — online from those we have in real life? “Sometimes,” frontman Ned explains, “the shift between the two worlds can feel like switching from black-and-white to color. That’s the phenomenon we wanted to explore on the album.”
